K40 eBay Laser Cutter Laser Aiming Gimbal
thingiverse
This thing was designed with Tinkercad and can be edited online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/e3XFJVVCKbe, where it's a re-mix of another dual-head laser aiming model to single head version. I've changed the diameter of the ball center from 12mm to both 9mm and 3mm for smaller lasers, so just delete the one that doesn't need it. The image shows a small 3mm dot laser and driver pressed into the ball with the end covered by heat shrink tape. Print Settings: Rafts: Don't Matter Supports: Don't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: We kept it simple by printing a 0.2 layer height and 20% infill, which would also work fine at 10%. Secure the ball with two #4 x 3/4 inch bolts, each with a washer on one end and a nut on the other, using a #6 x 1 1/4 inch bolt to hold the ball in place.
