K40 Drag Chain
thingiverse
I created a custom drag chain for my K40 laser because the standard one I purchased was interfering with its travel limits. The initial design came from this thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8239. I made some modifications to suit my needs. To assemble it, start by attaching the laser head bracket, followed by Link1 (one piece), Link2 (one piece), and then Link3 (seventeen pieces). Next, attach the GantryBar and finally the Gantry Bracket. The links can be a bit tricky to put together, but they do fit snugly. To secure the tube and wire in the gantrybar, use toothpicks or wire nails. To connect the links to the brackets, use M3 nuts and bolts or #4 nuts and bolts (four pieces each). Utilize the existing gantry hardware to attach the brackets securely.
