K40 Control Panel, remixed for key cap switches
thingiverse
I discovered that after removing the original switches and swapping them with new ones featuring coloured key caps, the holes in the original design didn't quite match up. I also found that my ammeter required a slightly larger hole to fit properly. Similar issues arose with the display panel being too tightly fitted, so I enlarged the display panel cut-out (I actually made it a bit too large, but it's workable). Upon closer inspection, you can see that I had to use a rat-tail file on the right side of the control panel surround to accommodate the bolt heads for the power panel. The switches used to replace the originals are available here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12x12x7-3mm-Panel-PCB-Momentary-Tactile-Push-Button-Switch-with-CAP-60PCS-New-UK/392214308192?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Removing the originals is a frustrating process. It might be easier to simply cut the switch legs from the top side of the board first and then remove each leg individually.
