K40 Camera Mount for Document Scanner
thingiverse
Description: Designed this camera mount for a cheap document scanner from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Document-THUSTAND-Definition-Visualiser-Portable/dp/B0868H9NN8) so I could use the camera capabilites from LightBurn (https://lightburnsoftware.com/). The base is magnetic and attaches to the side of my K40 (my unit has an 8 degree slope to the case). The camera is basically secured by thumbscrews so it is very easy to loosen the camera at the attachment point and swing it out of the way. The printed guide will provide a ledge for it to sit while are opening the lid and it also provides a distinct spot for it to sit into when the camera is in-place. The guide is also used to locate the camera back to where you calibrated. Alternatively, the camera can be set low and close enough to the viewing window, such that it can be used with the lid closed. The smaller magnets press fit into the 3d printed base.
