K40 40W Laser Mechanical End Stop Upgrade

<p>This is a mechanical X and Y End Stop upgrade for the K40 40W CO2 laser.<br>The original K40 is equipped with one mechanical end stop for the X axis and one optical end stop for the Y axis; with origin at the upper left corner.<br>This end stop upgrade moves origin to the lower left (as on most CNC machines) and combines the two end stops to one, mounted on the end of the X axis.</p><p>As a benefit the working area can be expanded by trimming the mechanical tube end stops.</p><p>Only needs two new M3 tapped mounting holes for the mount and some small screws for micro switches.</p><p><i>&gt;&gt; If you like it, please leave a like, rating or a tip... :)</i></p><h3>Print Settings</h3><ul><li>0.20mm layer height, 25% infill</li><li>2 perimeters, 3 top and 2 bottom layers</li><li>No support or elephant foot compensation needed</li></ul><h3>Post-Printing</h3><p>Use printed model to mark position of M3 mounting holes. Drill with 2.5mm drill and tap.<br>End stop for Y axis reuses existing hole.</p><p>Rewiring from micro switches required.</p><p>See photos for assembly instruction.</p>
