K1 Max tilt open lid support
prusaprinters
Since I got my K1 Max I have had to seek for a place to put its lid for many times.I was always afraid it will topple or fall and shatter so needed a solution for this.First I got the holder to store the lid and print beds at the side from Big_Daddy.But I wanted even more practical solution to be able to lift the lid for a moment and have both hands free to lock/unlock the extruder and load filament etc.I got the idea from Hachimaki guy's model but I needed a bit higher clearence. Also It would be nice to have permanent storage for this support. I probed the printer for feromagnetic parts and I found two model fan screws 105mm apart on the side:)I used two 19x6x3 mm neodymium magnets I had at hand (ordered as 20x6x3). They are just strong enough to hold this part with mass 37g in place on those tiny screws.I printedPETG0.4 nozzle0.2 layer height2 walls10% gyroid infill Printed on side with organic supports for magnets' holes. If you happen to use it, mind to keep the lid balanced and don't place this support too much to the front or back side of the side.I got the idea from:https://www.printables.com/model/536448-k1-max-spool-and-top-panel-holderIf I need to store the lid for longer I use:https://www.printables.com/model/636944-k1-max-side-mounted-build-plate-glass-top
