K&M Neck Turning Case Holder
thingiverse
I got tired of constantly having to either chew up my hand or keep a Crescent wrench handy to loosen the case when I was neck turning my brass, so I created a holder to insert the end of the shell holder from K&M into. The neck turning tool is from www.kmshooting.com. Edges are either filleted or chamfered to allow for tool insertion. I actually used a heat gun to heat up my metal tool holder (sitting on my glass 3D print bed), and after 20 seconds, it easily pressed into the holder using my bench vise. Print Settings: Printer: MakerFarm 12" Pegasus (Kit) Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.10mm Infill: 75% Notes: Layers: 0.020mm Infill: 75% Grid Skirt: 2 layers of 2 outline (I use it to prime my extruder) Supports: Support Infill: 70% Dense Infill: 50% Horiz Offset: 0.20 Support Pillar Resolution: 2.00 Max overhang angle: 80 deg (you may want to set this lower depending on your printer's ability). Post-Printing: The part stuck together like glue, but once cooled, it separated from the supports cleanly (I did use a small exacto knife to clean up some of the edges). The printed part and the two shell holder parts are now ready. The larger part will be pressed into the printed part, while the smaller part with the spring will thread into that from the back side. If this description wasn't enough, here's what it's for: the height of the part is below the shell holders to allow for easy swapping and less printing.
