K-Cup Puncher for Cafejo My French Press
thingiverse
I've been a happy user of Cafejo's My French Press for quite some time. It works by piercing a K-Cup and holding the capsule in place while your applied pressure pushes boiling water through the ground beans. Unfortunately, the needle responsible for piercing the bottom of my K-Cups started to bend and then eventually broke. Cafejo does not sell the replacement part, so their solution was for me to purchase another set! That didn't make sense to me. I've used scissors to cut a hole at the bottom, but I needed a time-saver. So I decided to create this simple yet effective method of making the hole for brewing my morning dose of caffeine. After piercing a hole at the bottom of your K-cup, carefully fit the cup into the faulty adapter and you're good to brew! Do try to print this with food-safe material. Also, be sure to examine your K-cups under light to ensure that the beans are actually retained by filter paper at the top, and there's about a centimeter gap between the bottom of the filter and cup.
