This device fits snugly into the lid of a wide mouth mason jar. Its purpose is to breathe new life into the most valuable component of non-recyclable K-cup portion packs by:\nA.) giving them a second chance in a compost pile, or\nB.) preventing them from ending up in the solid waste stream and reducing heavy wet coffee removal by many pounds per year.\nAt my workplace, we empty and shake out our jar every few days on the grass outside, and so far, it's withstood the test.\nTo ensure a strong and durable print, set your printer to 90% fill, as 100% fill has been known to cause layer shearing after just a few months of heavy use...\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Duplicator 4\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n Not Necessary\n \n Resolution: \n .2mm\n \n Infill: \n 90%\n \n Notes: \n The extruder temperature for PLA is 230C and 255C for ABS. For printing with PLA, the bed temperature is 80C, while ABS requires 110C.\nThe best adhesives are 2" plain blue tape and 2" masking tape, which require a soft removal at 110C. However, masking tape is overkill for this print. Print at a speed of 50mm/Sec for In-PLA and 80mm/Sec for regular PLA. Make sure to smooth the blue tape with a sharp edge.\nFor optimal results, print at 90% fill to best stitch the layers together and create an extremely durable part.\nThe use of a 12V computer fan running at 9V is crucial in blowing air across the part quickly to achieve the desired shape.
