K-Cup Adapter for non-official K cups in a 2.0 machine

thingiverse

I discovered that non-Keurig K-cups are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 machines, but I found a workaround by attaching an official used K-cup's foil to a non-official one, which made it work seamlessly in my Keurig 2.0 machine. To hold the foil in place, I designed a small adapter that fits snugly around the K-cup and prevents it from getting displaced during use. After testing this design on my Keurig 2.0 machine, I was thrilled to find that it worked like a charm, although it did warp slightly due to the heat generated by the machine. Since I printed the adapter using PLA, I had to let it cool down before attempting another brew. Thankfully, it does work as intended and I'm eager to see any improvements or redesigns that others might come up with - feel free to post a link to your updates in the comments for me to check out!
