I designed this laser as a minimalist project with only four essential parts necessary for its creation. These components can be fabricated using a 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC mill or other methods, thanks to the provided DXF file. To assemble this laser, you will need to fabricate the following four main parts: 1. Main carriage 2. X motor mount 3. Laser carriage 4. X belt tensioner In addition to these essential components, you will also require several secondary parts, including two NEMA 17 stepper motors, which can be sourced from https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/DD33z2SmnB. For the control system, a GRBL 2-axis CNC laser board is necessary and can be obtained at https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/m3DDqzZK2V. The 12-volt laser diode required for operation can be purchased from https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/vm3DkqZG2I, along with a suitable 12-volt power supply available at https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/333v2MSmzo. The structural framework of the laser includes four aluminum profiles: two 400mm long 2040 V-slot profiles (https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/GGD3MzZD10), one 250mm long 2040 profile, and a single 100mm long 2040 profile. Additionally, you will need a 400mm 2020 aluminum profile (https://sea.banggood.com/custlink/DDm3UUimwb) for structural support. To ensure smooth operation, the laser requires several precision components, including two GT2 6mm pulleys for NEMA 17 stepper motors, one idler pulley, a GT2 belt, four V-wheel rollers and two eccentric nuts. Finally, you will need various nuts and bolts to secure all components in place.
