This contraption was created using Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kPun6VupbdR. It's purpose is to assist in aligning the laser mirrors, and the cap fits snugly onto the laser tube, ensuring that the beam follows a consistent path. This setup has greatly improved alignment - I've achieved four perfectly centered pin-hole shots since using this device. The laser diode measures 6mm wide, allowing it to fit comfortably within the cap.
