K-2SO neck
thingiverse
Designed to fit the do3d file pack printed at 120% in perfect alignment.\r\n\r\nThis replacement neck is a custom-fit component that requires precision installation.\r\n\r\nTo begin, I carefully cut out the socket from the chest and bonded the neck from this set to its interior. This angled design ensures stability when displaying the model.\r\n\r\nThe detail rings are individually crafted parts, allowing for effortless finishing and painting. Each ring can be attached at its designated tier and secured in place after painting with ease.\r\n\r\nMoving on to the head assembly, I mount the top part of the image to the inside of the head, taking care to balance it meticulously. Experimenting with different positions is crucial to achieving a smooth fit.\r\n\r\nThe middle component serves as an adjustable angle feature, secured by a nut and bolt connection. To ensure stability, I glue the parts together, although bolting alone should suffice. For varying effects, I print multiple versions of this part at distinct angles.\r\n\r\nThis component is specifically designed not to be glued to the head or neck. The neck provides a snug fit, requiring minimal sanding before securing it in place. Once inserted, it becomes remarkably stable.\r\n\r\nThe piece that fits into the socket you've bonded to the head should remain firmly in position.\r\n\r\nUpon completion, you'll be able to effortlessly attach the head, adjust its angles, and make any necessary changes with ease.
