This is a remix of the baton designed by sahrchitect. I strongly recommend printing the files as they are, without making any modifications. There should be no need to repair any file, as none of them require support. If you modify the baton body files, the object will no longer be hollow! After the body parts print, you'll have to take a Dremel and grind out each end, making sure to only grind the openings so that the inside diameter is exactly 29mm. The baton body should remain hollow throughout the assembly process. Do not glue the two halves together yet! Instead, take your sleeve and slide it through the two body halves, with the closed end of the sleeve facing the front upper half where the front cap will be, and the open end at the back end of the lower half. If there's a lot of resistance, you may need to grind more material out. Once the sleeve slides through, align the tabs with the channels in the sleeve, making sure there's some slight resistance so that the shaft doesn't slide out when fully assembled. Use some filament and glue it into the channel of the sleeve at the front end of each side as a stopper for the shaft. If the shaft goes all the way through, it will appear to "droop" down. Glue the stoppers in a position where the shaft, when at its end, won't "droop" (about 1.5 inches from the end). When everything looks good, glue the sleeve to the upper half, making sure not to glue the shaft itself! Next, slide the lower half into place and glue it to the upper half. Finally, grind off any excess material at the back end of the sleeve and glue the rear cap in place. Glue the front cap onto the shaft, then assemble the handle halves. Place the handle in its bracket and drill a hole through the center, adding a bolt and nut with nylock. You may need to grind a little bit to get it to clear when folding – don't force it! Plastic can be brittle. Sorry if this seems like a lot of work, but I'm just starting out as a designer. Many thanks to sahrchitect for creating such an amazing design!
