Let me please ask that if you like these designs and find them useful, please do like, follow, and share my content. And if you have any ideas or concepts to modify the content, I would love to hear from you! Also, a big shoutout to all the filament cleaners out there keeping our 1.75mm and 3mm filaments clean and nozzles jam-free since they first started popping up. I've been playing with threads lately and wanted to adapt what I was producing to an existing concept. You have two parts: cut a chunk of foam that fits snugly in the cavity, then screw them together nice and tight. Slip your 1.75mm or 3mm filament through the orifice and out the opposing end, letting it pull up tight against your extruder's input. It can go either way on your printer's filament, though it has to have the filament poked through, so be ready to retract your plastic to put this on. If I make it to a V2, I'll amend it so you can place it onto the filament without having to thread it through the assembly. Take it and do with it what you wish. For me, it works really well. And again, a shoutout to others producing these things, especially the ever-popular https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:492067 It's designed lightly, so be sure to follow the print instructions and print a 0.4mm wall thickness with decent infill. I use 28% infill (my lucky number). Print the parts the right way up to avoid using supports, and keep that part cooling fan on to avoid curled edges on overhangs.
