Just another CNC mill
thingiverse
In progress..... Just collecting and put together knowledge to get my own CNC mill. Really need one but cannot afford to buy one off the shelf. Project will go in slowspeed. At last, all hw arrived uppdated a pic with the frame so now the work will begin still in slowspeed. The main mechanic things in place got some dear help from my friend Nils-Åke Stenström and got a spot in his garage to fullfill my mechanic work. Update: Had to redesign the board and replace all moving mechanic parts with 12mm rods and bearings ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/12pcs-LM12UU-12mm-Linear-Ball-Bearing-Bush-Bushing-/290757462821? ). The step motors were to heavy ( Nema 17 ). So i simply took the K8200 plastic kit ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:203292 ) and redesigned some parts. Bearing X-Clamp.stl used as is rescaled in repitier host to 1.15 to fit 12mm rod. Instructions First I needed a library with hex shapes and one with i.e.stepper motors. Found 2 that i liked:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6021https://github.com/elmom/MCAD Than some frame-inspiration ( after many back and forth I decided pipes ) by Tom McGuirehttp://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-to-Build-Desk-Top-3-Axis-CNC-Milling-Machine/?ALLSTEPS I wanted an other controller card and decided this kit.http://www.ebay.com/itm/DE-Ship-4Axis-Nema23-Stepper-Motor-287oz-in-Driver-CNC-Milling-Machine-/200911491410?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Control_ET&hash=item2ec7421152 There are errors in the manual like the pinout and inverted pin 17 that comes with the kit as I have confirmed discovered by:http://reprap.org/wiki/4_Axis_TB6560_CNC_Stepper_Motor_Driver_Board_Controller So a test of motors and controller cards are nessesery time to clame errors to the distributor are 14 days. Still waiting a lot of parts so I starts with the feet and will come back to you later. Frameparts delivered from Comfortbutiken in Visbyhttp://www.comfortvisby.se Contact Jonas Gustavsson, contact info on their site. They deliver frames in sizes you like.
