Jurassic Park Electric Fence Post
thingiverse
Created these basic fence posts to make an electric fence as seen in Jurassic Park for my son's JP toys. Very simple to make and the results were better than I thought. Pull the blocks away from each other to make the fence lines straight, move them slightly closer together to make the lines sag as if the fence is damaged and broken (like in the movie). See pictures for reference. Stringing multiple blocks together allows you to make a nice looking fence and also move the blocks to make rounded or angled corners too. I made two fence post types, a single solid block (easy to print), and an I-beam type which I think looks better, but requires some supports and finishing work after printing. You can use either. Additional materials to complete the fence: - 1x1x14 inch blocks of wood (spray paint grey to simulate the concrete fence base) - Grey micro paracord (1.2 mm thick) for the cables - 1/2 inch long #4 truss head (flat bottom of head) screws
