Jupiter Trumpet Valve Guide

I created this replacement valve guide for my Jupiter trumpet after one of its guides broke, ending years of loyal service. You can purchase these on Amazon for around $5 per pack of three, but I wanted to try out 3D printing with a fun first project. I designed the part myself using measurements taken from another intact valve guide on my trumpet. The result was a precise replica of the original part. The valve guide was printed using the white PLA material that came with my printer, set to Cura's default quality mode for a fine finish. I'm impressed that it has held up in my trumpet over a year now, despite being subjected to constant force and exposure to oil and moisture.
