Juno's altar

Juno's Altar is crafted from Carrara marble, created in the Neoattic workshop of Rome during the Late 1st Century BC. This circular altar honors Juno, depicted as a majestic peacock, and stands proudly at the frons pulpiti (stage front) of the Roman theater. Later, it was repurposed as construction material in late antiquity. As part of a set of three altars dedicated to the Capitoline Triad, this artifact holds significant historical value.
