The Aurora Mount Enabler empowers cameras to be securely fastened atop a Ron Thompson Maverick Angler Rod Pole. The rod pole boasts seven detachable sections, totaling an impressive 10.7 meters (35 ft) in length. To achieve a pole height of either 8.1 or 9.4 meters (26.6 or 30.8 feet), the Aurora bracket can be used with five or six of these sections by simply removing the lower sections. The camera cradle adjusts and locks at any angle, allowing for diverse aerial scene capture options (still images or video). The cradle features multiple 1/4" mounting holes for securing a camera using a thumb screw into the tripod socket. The pole slides smoothly into two clamps that grip the reinforced end of the pole, where additional fiber and epoxy have been applied. Bushings are provided to accommodate the smaller (second smallest) pole section. Larger clamps and bushings are also included for accommodating larger diameter poles, which measure 13mm or 17mm in diameter. Standard clamps fit poles with diameters of 8.5mm and 14mm, while optional larger clamps accommodate poles with diameters of 13mm and 17mm.
