The Junkers Ju-52, also known as "Iron Annie" or "Tante Ju," was first built in the early 1930s. Its distinctive corrugated duralumin metal skin and three radial engines are its most notable features. Many of these planes still fly today. My model was crafted on a desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft, using 6mm beech plywood with a spiral-toothed 1.2mm flute. I carefully glued the pieces together and sanded them to create a fantastic toy that kids of all ages can enjoy. A laser cutter could be an excellent alternative tool for building smaller versions of this model. For more design options, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/Spielsachen/Flugzeugmodelle. Keep in mind that the OBJ file is only used to validate construction and view it in a browser. How I Designed This I obtained 3-view drawings from Wikipedia to avoid tracing them, then used Illustrator to define the main features. The slots were achieved through trial and error. Before building the model, I validated it in SketchUp. Then, I arranged the parts as closely as possible for efficient production on a CNC router.
