1:87 model of a Jünkerath 7 cubic metre slag ladle car type "Gelsenkirchen" Many of these cars were used in steelworks all over europe from the early 20th century onwards. This model was designed for use with some US freight car wheels of unknown origin I found in my spares box, diameter 9.5mm. Other wheels may fit as well, just try it. For static purposes or the adventurous modeller who wants to try to run printed wheels an STL of a correct junkerath wheel is included. The bogies have a fixed NEM coupler pocket built in, this should work fine with hook-and-loop-couplers. For kadee couplers please use the racks and bogies for kadee. UPDATE: the first car has been printed. Made updates to some parts (bogies, wheels) because running it with the printed wheels seems to be not as hopeless as expected, let's see if it can be improved further with slightly changed wheel profile etc. Also added some pictures of the unpainted model and the freshly printed parts, to aid in positioning and supporting. UPDATE 2: It seems the sideways force of a pre-decoupled kadee coupler puts a (for such an extremely short bogie) considerable turning moment on the bogies, making them prone to derailment. I added a few new parts (racks and bogies) that should fix this by disconnecting the nem coupler pockets from the bogies, connecting them to the "frame" instead. 1:87 modell einer Jünkerath Schlackenpfannenwagen typ Gelsenkirchen. Wagen dieser art waren in ganz europa bei vielen stahlwerke unterwegs seit anfang des 20. jahrhunderts. Für den modellbahnbetrieb hätte ich vor die Wagen mit US-guterwagenräder zu versehen die ich hier im bastelkiste gefunden hätte, ursprung leider unbekannt, raddurchmesser 9,5mm. Für standmodelle ist eine STL mit korrekte junkerath-räder dabei. Im drehgestell ist eine feste NEM-kupplungsaufname eingebaut, mit bugelkupplungen sollte das funktionieren. Fur kadee-kupplungen empfehle ich die "for kadee" teile, bei dem die kupplungsaufnahme am pfanne statt am drehgestell verbunden ist.
