The Junction Group Earthworks are situated in Ross County, Ohio, where the Ohio Hopewell heartland is generally recognized. This notable enclosure group showcases a planned placement that can be easily identified by modern archaeologists as one of only a few known examples. Constructed likely by the late Adena or early Hopewell cultures, the grouping features the sole known quatrefoil earthwork and has recently been safeguarded within a park. Foliage is now allowed to flourish over the earthworks for interpretive purposes.
