Jun Sato's steel structure for NYH House (Yokomizo architects)
thingiverse
The actual building framework is constructed from 9mm thick steel sheets, preventing it from bending due to its curvature. The scale is set at 1:30, so the walls are only 0.3mm thick in the model and can be printed with a single layer. Therefore, high-quality printing is required to print it correctly; in the pictures, you can see how retraction was not set properly, resulting in small holes on the left side of some red walls. The complete model measures 90x300x300mm. If you're unable to print the walls, you can always use a plastic sheet and curve it as I did with the transparent walls version. The floor slabs have 0.6mm gaps between them, allowing you to insert the walls and glue them together. To learn more about Jun Sato's work, visit his website at http://junsato.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp/.
