Jumper T16 Internal Charger Mod The primary goal behind this modification was to eliminate two major issues - the first being the need to remove 18650 cells from their supplied holder each time they needed to be recharged, a common problem with sprung battery trays. Secondly, if using a 2S LiPo, having to unplug the cells each time from the internal XH balance connector would inevitably lead to failure. Both scenarios above involved breaking the primary power link to the transmitter, which this modification ensures is not constantly interrupted. Although the modification can create its own issues, mainly the BMS shutting down in low power situations, you should be monitoring your power levels anyway! This is primarily a safety precaution, not to mention the cost of a crashed aircraft. WARNING If you choose to incorporate this modification into your transmitter, it will likely invalidate any existing warranty. Furthermore, I am not responsible for any errors or omissions in these instructions, and it is your sole responsibility to ensure that the modifications are carried out safely and professionally. Wiring used was 24AWG silicone, a 2.5mm 3-way XH plug (male housing, female sockets) served as the connector, while the BMS board was a noname 2s 2-to-2.5A unit from eBay. The charger used was also a 2S Li-Ion bike light charger, sourced from eBay. Choose the chassis connector to match your charger's connection - I utilized a 5.5mm diameter 2.1mm pin diameter 10mm long barrel jack (I had to modify my charger connector as an afterthought). The final image shows field charging using a LiPo. Printed with Prusa Galaxy black PLA, the gcode file was originally designed for an original Prusa i3 mk3. TinkerCAD was used for designing this modification.
