This is still a work in progress with detailed assembly instructions still being developed.\r\nFor use with: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2804201\r\n\r\nI was experimenting with creating a DIY power wheels type toy for my child and decided to start by attempting a solid rear axle with differential.\r\n\r\nAt this scale, I thought it would be exciting to create a semi-realistic version.\r\n\r\nIt's designed with several modifications. First, the vast majority of it was assembled using 5/8 bolts and nuts from a hardware store.\r\n\r\nThe outputs from the center differential are 1" PVC pipe, and I used a threaded rod connected to a long bolt for the drive output. The bolt was glued into the corresponding differential gears. At the ends, I glued skateboard bearings in place.\r\n\r\nThe entire axle was printed using ABS material, and many parts were smoothed with acetone or bonded using a combination of screws, glue, and acetone bonding.\r\n\r\nI haven't completed my own print yet, so I don't have all the answers or details. It's very much a DIY project!
