Julia Winifred Moseley was born on March 21, 1919, in Limona, Florida, as the daughter of Ruby and Hallock. Her life revolved around her love for nature, music, writing, and preserving her family's legacy. Born to Julia Daniels and Charles Scott Moseley's granddaughter, she dedicated herself to maintaining the family homestead, including valuable documents, photographs, artwork, artifacts, objects, and the surrounding land and lake that comprise the Moseley Homestead. As a passionate advocate for history and the environment, Julia spoke out against the rampant development and loss of habitat she witnessed in Brandon and Florida. Throughout her life, she championed ecosystem approaches and founded the Timberly Trust to preserve and protect the National Register of Historic Places Property. On August 9th, Julia celebrated her 101st year of life in her beloved "Nest," where she eventually passed away. Her headstone memorial is located at the historic Limona Cemetery beside those of her family members.
