Judaculla Rock is a remarkable ancient rock carving located at 31Jk3 in Jackson County, North Carolina. This significant site dates back to the Middle Woodland to Late Mississippian periods, spanning approximately AD 300-1600. The petroglyph was skillfully carved into soapstone and measures roughly 22 square meters or 240 square feet. In April 2016, Judaculla Rock was carefully photographed from an observation platform that encircles the carving, providing a stunning view of this ancient artwork. A model of the rock was created by Steve Davis, offering a detailed representation of this significant cultural treasure.
