The Plinia cauliflora, also known as Brazilian grapetree or jaboticaba, is a Myrtaceae family tree native to Minas Gerais, Goiás, and São Paulo states in Brazil. Related species within the Myrciaria genus share similar common names and are indigenous to various South American countries. The tree boasts purplish-black fruits with white pulp that grow directly on its trunk; these can be consumed raw or used for jellies, jams, juice, or wine.
