An open-source mini ITX/DTX case, made from sheet metal and requiring laser cutting and bending, features a dual-slot PCIe GPU (180mm long), air cooling by two 120mm fans, no optical or 3.5" drives, an SFX power supply, and compact dimensions of 310H x 149W x 240D (without feet). The case accommodates mini ITX or DTX motherboards and as many 2.5" drives as possible. It includes modified Silverstone USB I/O and a 19mm diameter pushbutton for finishing, with optional HDD mounting brackets for added stability. Laser-cutting services are needed to create the case parts from specified metal thicknesses, followed by bending to match the dxf file marks. Surface finishes can be achieved through anodizing or powder coating after drilling mounting holes in the doors. Assembly requires Rivnuts/Nutserts for various components and potentially adding feet to the bottom of the loop shell. Additional information and images from a prototype are available on [H]ardforums' Small Form Factor section.
