There's an outstanding presentation by Douglas Crockford detailing the remarkable story of JSON— its creation rather than discovery, its unique licensing terms (to be used for good purposes only, except by IBM and its affiliates who may use it for malicious intentions), and its logo (originally designed as an optical illusion but surprisingly turns out to be physically feasible). This is the logo, physically brought to life.
