thingiverse
The phone mount is optimized for greater torque application due to its improved design. To attach or detach it, you can simply clip it on or off from the transmitter mount with ease. A few clever ear shapes integrated into the phone holder enable quick removal of your phone. Designed specifically around an LG G2 housed in an Incipio case, this phone mount's flexibility means modifications are possible for use with other devices. Each holder arm features clips that secure a long OTG cable, allowing you to attach it securely to the device at one end while the 3DR radio stays connected at the other end. To build the various components, PLA filament was used at an incredibly fine .2 mm layer height and at a solid 100% density level. Center mounting piece tapped using strong M3 threads provides support. All the printed pieces proved to hold threads flawlessly. Installation process consists of screwing in place with 12 mm long M3x12 socket head screws into threaded holes. Note the unique positioning orientation, crucial for the correct functioning of each unit. On top side forward part there's a defined groove for attachment - latching system enables clip attachment and easy disconnection whenever necessary. On the back of the mounting piece there's space made specifically to be held firmly in place using strong flat headed screw measuring 4 mm long, secured one end towards arm through nut tightly gripping that specific area. In opposite unit an M4 nut can snugly fit into its defined hole positioned carefully allowing perfect assembly and complete balance.
