JPT's Lower and Upper Vertexes for MendelMax
thingiverse
I wanted to have Lower Vertexes that are easier to mount, but do not increase the height of the MendelMax. To achieve this in a single piece, I had to move the diagonal misumis 10 mm from the center. This requires new, wider Top Vertexes as well. In numbers, its 10 mm taller, and the frame triangle is about 20 mm wider (in Y direction), but this doesn't increase the base size of the MendelMax Advantages: easier to mount about 13 mm gain in printing height standard 1 kg PLA spools fit between the top misumis this design eliminates inaccuracies in misumi frame distance that come from X/Y jitter does not interfere with the z threaded rods no adjustment of the top vertexes, should match the width of the lower rod mounts exactly. Keep in mind that the lower and top vertexes and the spool holder are a set which only work if you use all of them. Instructions Material needed: 12x M5x10 bolt per lower vertex 6x M5x10 bolt per upper vertex 4x M5x20 bolt per upper vertex, if you use my clamps. 2x M5x10 bolt per spool holder
