<p>This is a second desgn of my IV18 VFD clcok here : <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3037333">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3037333</a></p> <p>This time have choosen the "most minimalistic" design. My goal was to get an almost floating clock : the tube just above the wooden base.</p> <p>A full video of explaination is here : <a href="https://youtu.be/8nM7E6NAlVk">https://youtu.be/8nM7E6NAlVk</a></p> <h3> How I Designed This</h3> <p><strong>tube connection</strong></p> <p><div><p>To get a "floating tube" I have been obliged to use varnished wire (the one you find into voltage transformer coils). 19 wires are coming out from the VFD tube. All can fit into a 6 mm brass pipe.
