I purchased a SVI-318 from eBay for my collection and it arrived without the joystick, leaving a significant gap. The upgrade to v2 comes with a sleeker collar below the ball that closely resembles real-world hardware. I quickly discovered that the item was poorly balanced, which made printing more challenging. To counter this issue, I had to use a 12mm skirt during the printing process - one that actually touches the object, ensuring it stays firmly in place on the plate. Due to ongoing calibration issues with my printer, the stick required some minor sanding before it fit properly into its assigned position.
