Here is a simple, joyful earring design that's easy to make. You can pick up the earring hooks and jump rings at Michaels craft store. To create a larger version for a tree ornament, simply scale it up. One friend used them in a hair pin. My girlfriend thought they were a bit large, but I successfully scaled them down by 50% in both dimensions.
