Joy con Grip
thingiverse
I wasn't thrilled about playing games with the Joy-Cons separated by the shoulder strap attachments. However, I did appreciate the controller grip so I decided to replicate it. I created this copy using a caliper and eyeballing many angles by holding the actual grip up against my screen, resulting in a design that isn't an exact replica but gets the job done efficiently. A fair warning: there is no clip that secures the controller in place, so be cautious if you're into disc golf games or you might accidentally send a Joy-Con flying straight into your TV. If the fit is too loose, you can try applying a couple of dabs of silicone similar to how the real controller grip features a small rubber bumper. Alternatively, you could attempt annealing it with hot water and see if it shrinks slightly; I haven't tested this approach yet.
