Joustra
thingiverse
I recall a vintage toy from the late 1950s. It underwent a complete disassembly to install a pilot in the cab, which was completely invisible. From this toy, I retain only two or three thread worm gear transmissions and the flywheels. As I casually examined these components, I started to grasp the concept of transmission reversibility with this mechanism. At that time, the Lille-Lesquin airport was not heavily congested and was used for training pilots. We witnessed dozens of Boeing 707 takeoffs and landings passing directly overhead! The noise level was significantly lower than today's planes, which would be unbearable now, but I don't recall ever being bothered by it. In primary school, we visited the Lesquin airport control tower, where one word left a lasting impression on me: direction finder.
