I'm excited to show off this jousting shield, one of two projects I've been working on for class. Creating the textures was a blast - just check out all the scratches and scuffs I added to give it that well-worn look. What really stood out, though, was UV-mapping the rope. Getting the bend just right is key to making it look authentic, just like most historical jousting shields.
