Hi, this is a simple holder designed specifically for a Joule thief circuit and an AA battery. If you're not familiar with what a Joule thief is, search bigclivedotcom on YouTube; that's where I got the circuit from. There are plenty of other videos out there too that explain it in detail. Here's the Wikipedia definition: A joule thief is a compact Armstrong self-oscillating voltage booster that's low-cost and easy to build. It's commonly used for driving small loads. This design enables you to power a 3v LED from a single dying 1.5v AA cell. The one in the photo has been running non-stop for 37 hours on a dead battery, which was previously part of a kitchen clock (initial voltage: 0.79v). The holder is printed with a setting of 0.3 and 0 to 20% infill.
