Joukowski Airfoils of Arbitrary Thickness

Joukowski Airfoils of Arbitrary Thickness

grabcad

The given files employ equation-based curves to construct symmetrical airfoil forms with adjustable maximum thickness at a specific chord position. The equations are derived from Joukowski profile transformations but are too extensive for Solidworks's equation-driven curve tool. Thus, MATLAB is utilized to simplify and express the symbolic function for p values of 0.3, 0.35, 0.4, and 0.45. The thickness ratio as a fraction of chord length remains a user input. Simply modify the thickness ratio and apply a scale feature to achieve your desired chord length.
