This type of spur gear was mounted on the Jouef "tourne- broche" motors in the 1970s and 1980s. It is possible to replace this motor with a motor of similar size, but the axis is often 1.5mm in diameter. So I created this pinion to fit on an axis of 1.5 mm, Z=7, M=0.5 To get a bore that clamps onto the shaft without breaking the pinion, I followed the following process: Printed pinion teeth up with a 20° tilt, 3 minimum supports on the bottom of the pinion to hold it before the first print layer of the bore. Wash with IPA 4 minutes, Cure 4 minutes. Measure the outside diameter which should be 4.5 mm Check that the bore is not blocked by passing a 1.5 mm reamer through it by hand.
