Josele_meArm v0.1 ( meArm robotic Arm )
thingiverse
This is my contribution to meArm, a robotic arm project. Original files are available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:360108. I combined several original parts to simplify the design. The original parts were designed for use with a laser cutter, but the 3D printed result was cumbersome and the parts didn't fit as intended. In this revised design, the arm's "box" is composed of three pieces. Servo adjustments have been improved, ensuring a perfect fit. A new "bearing" has also been added to the original design. Additionally, I introduced a novel clamp holder concept. These changes result in a simpler plate set for printing and easier assembly. The complete set includes: Plate_base, plate_claws, plate_sticks, and plates_ladder. I aim to create a PDF guide with assembling instructions as soon as possible. Meanwhile, please clean the bed and print the full set. My design process began with the meArm v0.4 STL parts (see link above). I used OpenScad to merge the "box" of meArm into three single pieces. The base of the "box" was redesigned as a bearing. I attempted to retain the original parts whenever possible, but may ultimately need to redesign all components. Some parts require redesigning, but this task is manageable and won't compromise the final product. History: 2017-August: Modified SG90 servo parts (SG90 hole in the parts was too small). Added file: AssemblyManual.pdf, a comprehensive guide from 3D plates to the model. 2017-May: Version 0.1
