Jorge Ibor y Casamayor (April 22, 1755, Zaragoza, Spain - November 15, 1808, ibidem), better known as Tío Jorge, was a notable figure who fought in the defense of Zaragoza during the first siege of the city in the War of Spanish Independence. On May 23, 1808, one day before the city's uprising against the French army led by Joaquín Murat, and aided by his sons Pablo and Juan and friend Lucas Aced (known as "Tío Lucas"), he organized and led a party of farmers and shotguns from the Arrabal neighborhood. He was a decisive person, at the front of his company and alongside brothers Manuel and Mariano Cerezo, Father Consolación, and bartender Jimeno, in proclaiming José de Palafox y Melci as the maximum responsible for defending the city.
