Jon boat Push pole end
thingiverse
This is my inaugural post, crafted specifically for inshore fishing from my aluminum jonboat. A 10-foot length of 1 1/4-inch full round is attached via a stainless steel through bolt or similar hardware, keeping the push pole securely anchored to prevent sinking into the mud. Sharpening the opposite end of the wooden pole enables its use as a mud anchor. I opted for a print with no brim or raft, enabling support for the holes to emerge clean. Five layers were used for wall thickness for added strength and 25% infill, which may be excessive. The print time was approximately 10 hours on fast normal resolution at 200C with PLA, with the bed temperature set to 60C using an MP mini v2. Update: A 1.5-inch diameter pole version has been added for use with a 1.5-inch full round pushpole. This iteration is available in a separate STL file named pushpole1_5.stl and requires a few hours longer print time, utilizing significantly more material.
