This thing is a customized version of the original thing on Thingiverse, specifically with Thing ID #551484. I used Customizer to create this new design! If you'd like to check out the customization settings used, here's the link: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=551484 Now let's get into the instructions! To build your very own customizable external drive enclosure using these parameters: - Use a wall thickness of 2 mm - Keep your base height at a standard 30 mm high - Set your cover printing Y offset to 10 units, that way it lines up properly with your prints and ensures stability while handling. Don't forget to add some rounded corners to the exterior edges - set your external corner radius to around 7 mm for an aesthetically pleasing appearance. - For safety reasons, keep the cover thickness at a minimum of 3 mm to withstand daily usage. Set your bottom thickness to 2 mm as well, since we want the entire unit sturdy enough without making it overly heavy or difficult to maneuver. And when choosing the internal layout - which component to prioritize first? Choose '1' for external drive in base mount configuration. Let's review: Cover Internal Margin: Leave at 0.5 mm Wall thickness is fixed at 2 mm. Base Height stays strong with a default value of 30 mm high cover Thickness can go no lower than the suggested value of 3mm. bottom Thickness: another mandatory 2 mm so the whole setup remains safe from getting damaged easily! cover Internal Height will still stay consistent at its minimum of 6mm - to let air move through without obstructing heat dissipation. Set the cover thickness back up. No need to touch anything else right now
