A buddy of mine lost his closest pal and is making a shadow box for her memory. He wanted to add her beloved toy but the actual one was too large, so he asked me if I could create a smaller replica using my 3D printer. I designed a new model that's tiny, which made it perfect for scaling up when printed. To help the model stay put during printing, I deliberately sunk the ball 3mm below the bed surface, and this also gave his friend a flat spot to attach it securely into the box.
