Laser Carrier and Extractor Duct for the Anycubic Chiron The laser carrier can be easily removed without disassembling the hot end. It mounts to the left side of the hotend metal shroud, where it stays securely in place. The laser itself can be detached from the carrier, leaving the carrier attached to the hotend shroud. The extractor duct fits a 150mm diameter tube and sits on the left side of the Chiron frame. This clever design allows for easy installation and removal. Parts for the Carrier * 5 x 4x8mm thread length countersunk bolts * 2 x 4mm nuts * 3 x 3x10mm thread length caphead bolts * 1 x Male to Female flying lead * 1 x Voltage Divider (easy to make with vero board; plenty of info available online) Parts for the Extractor Duct * 11 x 4x40mm thread length caphead bolts for the duct * 11 x 4mm nuts * 2 x Frame mounts (check out the links below) * 1 x Male to Female flying lead Hotend Preparation Remove the hot end shroud, take out the small PCB, and unplug the part cooling fan. Next, install a male to female flying lead and pass it through the gap where the PCB used to be. Reattach the PCB and put back the shroud. Assembly Insert the voltage divider into the space on top of the carrier, attach the lid, and secure it with two 3x10mm bolts. Place the two 4mm nuts in the nut holder - they might need a vice to fit snugly. Remove the plug protector from the left side of the hotend shroud. Insert the 3x10mm bolt into the laser carrier, then attach it to the hotend shroud but leave some slack. Insert the three 4x8mm bolts and orientate the nut holder so the v-cut is facing up. Tighten all bolts - the upper 4mm bolt only needs to be used for location. Fit the laser to the carrier using the two upper holes, connecting the voltage divider output to the laser pwm plug and the input to the part cooling fan flying lead. Connect the voltage supply to the laser. Laser Carrier Offset * Y axis: 58.60 * X axis: 17.00 The hot end shroud model is included in the files.
