I'm creating a protective knife guard for a DIY jointer project. I've repurposed an electric wood plane, mounting it upside down within a wooden enclosure. This design safeguards hands from the blades. A rubber band is required to reset the device to its home position; images showcase how this functionality works. Although this tool is highly specialized, there may be individuals who can benefit from using it. Assembly Instructions: The guard consists of two parts: the shield itself and a holder for it. First, tap an M8 thread into the holder's screw. Next, insert an M8 threaded rod into the holder and secure it with a nut. Place the guard on top and hold it in place with either a self-retaining nut or two nuts. Printer Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: None Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 10% Notes: Wall thickness is 1.5 mm
