Humans enjoy crafting jointed figures. View my creations here: http://www.soniaverdu.es/p/bjd-art-doll.html I'm excited to share this poseable robot figurine with you. It boasts ball joints and hinge-like joints that allow for flexible movement. A sturdy elastic cord is used to secure the limbs and enable precise positioning - no complicated screws required! I hope you're impressed by its range of motion." Here you can see it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH3-T-4muZQ&feature=youtu.be Tips for Assembly For a perfect fit, I highly recommend printing at the highest quality. With careful settings, material support shouldn't be needed. To learn how to assemble the robot figurine using an elastic cord, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oG39NoSJGM&feature=youtu.be" The optimal diameter for the elastic cord is 3mm, as seen in the assembly video where a 3mm diameter elastic cord is used for neck/head and arms and legs. However, the robot moves more smoothly when you use a tight knot with one of 3mm diameter. Layer height: 0.1 mm Botton/Top layer thickness: 1.2 mm Shell thickness (important for delicate parts like neck, arms and hands): 1.2 mm Fill density percentage: 20% Print speed: 40 mm/s Support: None needed; platform adhesion can be used if required. Note that I've printed this model using PLA at 210°C (410°F) Warning: When printing, take extra care when removing the robot from the print bed. The joint at the base of the neck and fingers sometimes gets stuck and can be challenging to loosen.
